Lake Dziani

The Dziani Dzaha (meaning "lake" and "crater" in Shimahorese) is a lake of volcanic origin, hence its particular color which you can admire during a walk on Petite Terre.

The peaks of Mayotte

Mayotte also conceals a quantity of terrestrial riches. The hikes to Mount Choungui, Mount Benara and the Saziley Ridges indeed offer breathtaking views as well as a beautiful overview of the local fauna and flora.

The beaches

Bordered by beaches, each more magnificent than the last, Mayotte will satisfy everyone. A fan of PMT (snorkeling) to discover the riches of the coral reef, or rather relax with your feet in the water to recharge your batteries.

Water activities

Proud of its lagoon, the island offers a multitude of water activities. Diving, boat trips to discover marine animals, jet-skiing or even wake-boarding, there is something for everyone.

The Governor's House

Departing from Mamoudzou you can discover the Governor's House, which is now part of the national heritage. There you will discover a hiking trail winding between bamboos and cinnamon trees.

The lagoon

One of the largest closed lagoons in the world, Mayotte is a haven of peace where underwater species abound. With its 1,100 km2, it’s no surprise that it has become a divers’ paradise, thanks to its many world-renowned spots.
